So I was driving one day and I could hear my mother in my head. All I could do was to laugh and then I started to cry AND THEN I began laughing again. Yeah, I know it sounds absolutely crazy, but hey that’s my life! So below you will find somethings that my mummie has said to me even up until today! 🙂
You can watch all the TV you want when you finish school.
– See growing up we did not watch a lot of TV. My brother and I got to pick one show a week that we could watch. Of course that show was on Thursday at 7 pm… the “Cosby Show”. Education is VERY important to my parents and when my mum said “school” she meant college. *laughing* She was right!!! I’m finished with undergrad working on my Ed.S and now I can watch as much TV as I want, but….I don’t.
Wanti, wanti, cyan getti, getti, getti nuh want it
– Count your blessings and do not take what you have for granted others may just be hoping they had what you have
Mi nuh come fi count cow, mi come fi drink milk
– don’t waste my time, I’m not hear to fool around … or, stop talking and deliver what you promised
Air pie and breeze soup
– Mummie would say this when we would ask her what is for dinner. Basically it means nothing
Make sure you dress appropriately, you NEVER know who you will meet.
Put God FIRST and pay your tithe!

So with that being said, I know that my mummie gives me wonderful advice and she continues to EVERYDAY! I thank the Lord everyday for my parents and the love that continually give to my brother and I no matter how old we get
What is it that your mom or dad has told you?
~ Love, Peace, and SOOOOOOOUL!!
hilarious! here’s one thing my Jamaican mur told my brothers and me:
“You cyant put sweet pon stink” if we tried to put on deodorant instead of just taking a shower.
Girl our parents are a trip!! I know that when I have children they will hear the same things. Lord help them!!
