I’m already thinking about the new school year. Mind you I have (looks at calendar) about another week before I have to return to my classroom. Yes, teachers in my district have to return to the school building on July 27th and the children will be back for the first day of school on August 1st.
I love my school, parents, children, and the people I work with, but there is one problem…school supplies. Every year this is a problem that I face. Why? For you see I teach in an inner city school and the majority of my parents cannot afford school supplies. This means the Miss Hunter, me, spends her money to purchase what her students’ need.
Now, this is NOT an issue, but please remember that I am make a teacher’s salary. lol! I would not change what I do for the world, it’s just that this time I’m deciding to ask for a little help. This is where you come in… *taaaaa daaaaa*
