Remembering Sandy Hook Elementary – 1st Grade Edition

Last Friday when the new of Sandy Hook Elementary was going on I was teaching my own first graders.

I did not stop what I was doing.  This was very hard, because I wanted to cry.  I wanted to hold my students and tell them that I loved them, BUT I did not want to scare them.

Today my students came into class like normal.  No one asked any question about Friday’s events until 9:35 am.

Below is what happened after questions were asked and a discussion was had….

This is a place for me to reflect on things that are happening in my life.  I might just be one person in this big world of ours, but I'm one person that's on a mission... Life:: the sequence of physical and mental experiences that make up the existence of an individual. Life is a funny thing.  It is forever changing and as it changes so will I.
