Goodbye Tennessee: 1 month & counting

“it’s been a LONG time coming, but a change is gonna come”……and it is happening in a little over a month!

Hi my name is Marla aka Meri Jaan…and I’ve lived my ENTIRE life in the state of TN.

Since I can remember I’ve always wanted to move to another state! Actually my Mum states that when I was in Kindergarten I used to draw pictures of me living somewhere else.

I am so excited because it is finally about to happen. So here’s the brief background….

It’s 2006 and I’ve finally finished undergrad after changing my major to K-8 Education in my Junior year. I go visit my Aunt and a cousin in West Palm and Orlando, FL for two months. It was at this time that I asked the Lord to make it possible to me to move to Florida.

It didn’t happen…

What did happen is that I got a job in Nashville and taught there for 8 years.

March of 2013 I got EXTREMELY sick and had to move back home with my parents…..(grrrrrr). I did get a job teaching at a school that I used to go to, BUT it’s oh so time to go! (and we will leave it JUST LIKE THAT)
