This is the question that I get asked on a constant and EVERY time I just want to say…

YES! There are people of colour in China! Actually below you will find list of social media websites that will help one in living in China as an African/African-American/Caribbean American person.
Let’s begin…
1) Black Life China: Tony Reyes is the founder and can be found via website, Facebook and WeChat. The website is absolutely awesome sauce and contains articles, newsletters, guest bloggers, podcast interviews with African Americans living in China. If you don’t fancy all the reading but like to watch video, hop on over to YouTube.

2) WeChat
This app right here is saving my life before I even move to China! WeChat is what is used most to communicate in China. WeChat is like if Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and What’s App had a baby! FYI: this is where I learned that without a VPN your life on Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram will cease to exist in China!
Now that you have downloaded WeChat you need to find the following groups!
FYI: The QR codes are expired, but you can always do a search for the groups in the search box. 🙂
3) Facebook: Another lifesaver for me has been Facebook. Again, just remember that in China you MUST have a VPN because China bans it. Make sure to purchase one BEFORE getting to China! Below you will find some of the links for that groups that have joined.
Well that’s all for now! I hope that this helps you out a bit.
~Love, Peace, and SOOOOOUL!!!
