Mini Covo in Luohu | China Living

At this moment I’m without wifi, but I wanted to write about an interaction I had with a older gentleman about 5 mins ago.

So this weekend I’m on my way to Nansha. My girl, Kisha and I are going to Chocolate City (more about that adventure later). This means I am taking a bus from Shenzhen to Nansha. This ride usually takes about an hour.

Well I finally arrive at the Luohu bus station. I want to pause here to say that Rush Hour traffic is mimics Rush Hour traffic in Atlanta….BRUTAL! Anywho, so I’ve reached an now I need to purchase a ticket.

As I’m walking to the ticket counter I’m being approached by women who are offering services. Hey…get your mind outta the gutter! 😂 The “services” are mani/pedis, massages, waxing and bootleg name brand purses. But of course I say “no thank you” in Chinese, shock the mess out of all of them and keep walking!

Then I see him! He looks like me; well at lease his skin is the shade as mine. I get excited on the inside and our eyes lock and we say “hello”. Below is the conversation that is had.

BM: Hi how are you?

Me: I’m good. Tired but good.

BM: How are you cooping?

Me: lol!

BM: Well I’m sure you’re doing better than me. I don’t live here.

Me: Where are you from?

BM: South Africa. I come every two months to check on my businesses out here.

Me: ok I live in Shekou.

BM: Well that means your cooping. *pats my arm* Keep holding on!

Me: Thank you!

We then depart and go our separate ways.

Now I’m getting on the bus….

By the time this poats, I would’ve made it to Nansha. lol! 🙈🙊🙉

This is a place for me to reflect on things that are happening in my life.  I might just be one person in this big world of ours, but I'm one person that's on a mission... Life:: the sequence of physical and mental experiences that make up the existence of an individual. Life is a funny thing.  It is forever changing and as it changes so will I.

You may ALWAYS speak your mind here! :)
